june happenings

Is it really the end of June!?!

We've been busy so far this month :) 

We went to a few graduation parties and let me tell you....our boys know how to party.

Penn loves people, snacks, and being outside. This was basically the best day of his life :)

We love this park because it has a play ground, baseball field, basketball court AND pond with a fountain!!

This time penguin came along and rode shotgun in the cart.

And yes, this is by far Keaton's favorite shirt. We have 2, so between them both he wears it 4x a week. haha

I have 2 boys who love me dearly...there is one touching or within inches of me at all times during the day. Every day. 

With 2 toddlers the days can certainly feel loooooong, but boy I wouldn't trade them for anything!! 

book worm

We have a serious book worm on our hands...

Keaton LOVES looking at books and having stories read to him. It's hard always getting to read to him when my hands are full of another little love, but we try to make it work. Most books he brings me I have memorized, so it's just a matter of him flipping the pages....without skipping a bunch ;0)

When I just can't read he'll go to his chair. It's adorable.

Crossed ankles. No pants. It's too much!!

Right now his favorite books are the ones with photographs of babies and animals. He has a pretty big selection, but I'm looking to get him more!

Any suggestions on books your kiddos just love?? 

keaton mark - 8 months

Say it ain't so, my baby is 8 months old!

I just can't even believe it. It feels scary close to the big ONE...even though we have a few months left!

Keaton you are loving your Mommy something fierce these days :) You want nothing to do with the church nursery or sweet ladies at MOPS and I'm okay with that. I love having you in my arms....although you're getting pretty heavy. HA!

As much as you love Mommy, you love Daddy just the same. You 2 are buddies and more recently you've been putting your arms out for him to hold you. You guys bum around and do "guy" things. You won't sit and just chill on my lap the way you do for Dad - getting ready for football watching I assume.

Keaton this has been a big month for you! You started to army crawl! In typical guy fashion, you wanted the remote control so badly you pulled your little body straight over to it. Even the PT laughed at the look of determination on your face as you worked your way to it. Dad and I both said you'd be crawling by Christmas!

Speaking of the PT - we think you might have graduated from your physical therapy sessions for your torticollis! We have been stretching your neck and doing exercises a lot. You still have a tilt when you look down, but we hope that with more exercises and learning to crawl you'll just continue to get stronger. It's definitely not as bad as it was before {even though most people probably wouldn't ever notice it!}.

Keaton you got 3 new teeth this month!! Two on the bottom and 1 that just poked through up top! You continue to chew on everything.

It's SO FUN watching you learn new things everyday. Your grandparents, aunts, and Mommy's friends get texts all the time with pictures of you being cute or showing off a new trick. I just need to show somebody :)

We're preparing for your very first Christmas - tomorrow!! Oh my stars am I excited! You have no idea what's going on, but we talk about it all the time. I pray that as you grow and get older you'll know the true reason we celebrate Christmas. Presents are certainly exciting, but the best present of all has already been given to us - Jesus.

keaton mark - 4 months

Keaton Mark you are 4 months old today! 

I'll say this every month until I stop doing these posts, but WOW! I can't believe you're 4 months old already!

You are turning into quite the handsome little guy. I mean...seriously. 

You're just as much fun these days as you are cute!

You always greet me with a smile when I get you in the morning or after a nap and are starting to laugh at things. It is.the.cutest. 

Just yesterday I had you laughing at my cookie monster voice - I couldn't stop!  :)

Keaton, right now you're super social. You love watching people and will flash anyone who gives you a glance a little smile. I'm waiting for you to be a little more fearful of strangers and a little more clingy to me, but that hasn't happened yet.

 You're really starting to get the wiggles! You move and twist and turn all over the place -- you're not content just sitting/laying around anymore. You want me to hold you up so you can stand and bounce off my legs.

 And you almost always have your hands {or something} in your mouth! It's so funny to hear you sucking on your hands and licking your fingers in the back of the car when I'm driving. You seriously just lick each finger...haha! Guess you're finger lickin' good!

Other than getting fussy when you're tired, you hardly ever cry. Almost never! If I'm on my game and get you down for a nap before you get overly tired, there are some days you don't cry at all. Thank you for that :) haha!

Keaton, you are the light of our lives. I tell Daddy over and over how much better my life is with you in it. I didn't realize how boring things were without you! You keep me on my toes {the spit up comes at any moment!} and smiling all of the time! Love you little man!!
