daddy's helper

Helping Daddy is his favorite.
Other than a smile here and there for Mommy, he stays on task.
 A little observation to start....
Then it's time to get in there

 And get his hands dirty.
What a lucky boy to have such a patient and teaching Daddy!

Once I get done setting it up, I'll reveal the Daddy & Son project for Mommy :)!!

the bottle

Ryan gave Keaton his first bottle when he was 2 weeks old. Since he was nursing so well, we thought it would be good to introduce a bottle before he got too old and would only take his Momma.

He only receives pumped milk and he nurses almost 100% of the time, but it's nice that we have the bottle as an option for feeding every once in a while :-)

He took it with no problem at.all. and it was then we concluded our boy just likes to eat - however and whenever!! As of yesterday, he's an ounce short of 11 pounds! HA!

His Daddy also does an awesome job feeding him.....
If that smile doesn't say "good job Dad!" I'm not sure what does :)
And then the post milk coma....
For everyone.

6 years

It's hard to believe it's been 6 years....
I thank and praise God for blessing me with such a faithful and gentle man - you fit my heart perfectly.
Happy Anniversary to my love, best friend, and most loyal confidant.

father & son

I thought my heart might burst when I saw Ryan hold his son for the first time and I was right.
Ryan has never really been around babies. He's only held his nieces and nephews as teeny tiny little ones and only for a few minutes {and while sitting}, but still...it came as no surprise to me at all that he was such an instant natural with Keaton.

He was made to be a Dad.

Ryan's protection over Keaton was instant and obvious.
He loves him something fierce and it's a JOY to watch! The other night, Ryan was holding Keaton as I was getting ready to nurse and Keaton started rooting for milk. Ryan said "I don't have any milk for you buddy - that's Mommy. All I have to give you is my love. Just my love."

And then he kissed him.
My heart never felt so full.

These 2 are going to be quite a pair - I can tell already :)

Keaton already has his Daddy's hair color....
And laid back demeanor.
I couldn't love any 2 people more if I tried.

weekend

Another weekend with Ryan :)

It was a long weekend too! He slept until noon on Thursday and then we had the rest of the day!

We kinda did our own thing during the days and spent the evenings together, except Thursday. I scheduled our car seat check for the afternoon and FREE RITAS after that!!

We passed!

I spent a good part of Friday morning shopping for nursing bras {aren't you glad you're reading this}. It was literally a pain - tags, hooks, etc are dangerous to take on and off. I had little luck and walked away with $50 worth of bras to sleep in. Wait what?!? I LIVE to take off my bra at 4:30 9 o'clock each night. I'm sure when the time comes I'll LOVE/need to sleep in something, but now all I think is f-r-e-e-d-o-m at the end of a long day :0p

Friday night we did some shopping{not for bras} and got pizza. We got home and were eating around 7:30....it was fun to be wild and crazy before the baby comes! hahaha

Saturday Ryan worked on his garage project most of the day and I did a few fun craft projects. I'd love to post some pics, but baby's name is on pretty much everything! It was gorgeous outside, so Phinley and I went for a super long walk and both crashed when we got home. I can sit around for probably 20 mins at a time, so after the break I cleaned and got dinner ready. A little fro-yo and early bedtime...the wild and crazy wasn't long lived!

Today we had lunch with small group and it was awesome.

A few more craft projects this afternoon and putting a few things out for Easter and that about wraps it up!

Hope you all had a great weekend!!
