daniel tiger live!

Keaton has never really been "into" anything big time. He doesn't love a particular toy or toy theme...if that makes sense. He plays with different things every day and has a good rotation of books. However, the one constant in Keaton's life that makes him happy {besides me, Daddy, and "baby Penn"} is Daniel Tiger.

K loves Daniel Tiger :)
Really....we all love Daniel! It's a cute show and I think single handedly taught Keaton how to stop and go potty right away....

"If you have to go potty stop! and go right away. Flush and wash and be on your way!"

If you've seen the show good luck getting that tune out of your head today :) I sing it out loud at least 5x a day and more like 500x in my head.

With both boys having birthdays in April, we thought taking them to Daniel Tiger Live would be a fun way to kick off their birthday month and do something out as a family!

Our seats were in the first row of the mezzanine which ended up working out perfectly!! We figured Keaton would sit in his seat or on a lap through the show, but Penn was a toss up. He ended up standing most of the time and could walk between Ryan and I with plenty of room.
Waiting for the show to start!

They loved it!!
We bought this light up thing as a distraction for Penn, but eating was enough of a distraction for him...so Keaton got it. We never buy extras at things like this, but he thought it was so neat and so I'm glad we did!
I could just eat him up!!
The Mom sitting next to me got a quick picture of us during intermission - only 3/4 looking, but I'll take it!
Of course, I got all teary eyed during the show because it is such a blessing to be able to have fun experiences like this with the boys! I literally cry tears of joy. HAHA It's always a little stressful and a lot of work traveling, but making memories like this is priceless.

After the show, we walked around the corner to grab hot dogs, hamburgers, and a milkshake from the Shake Shack.

It was crazy busy and so we got it to go. While we were waiting for our food one of the employees gave Penn an ice cream cone. Like a good brother, he shared ;)
It was a good distraction while we waited!
So with ice cream faces, hot dogs in hand, and a whole lotta Daniel Tiger songs scrolling through our heads we loaded up the van and went back to the hotel!!

It was awesome.
