We arrived in NC late Wed night, so Thursday was our first full day.
My Mom and I ran some errands in the morning while the boys just hung out....Phinley was happy to get some guy time :0)
We got the car washed and then headed to Sticky Boys for some rolls and cookies! The cookies were sooo good! Everything looked so yummy! I love bakeries -- the smell of fresh baked goodies is always the best!
Later in the afternoon my parents friends, Linda and Bill M., stopped by on their way home to PA from FL. It was a real treat to spend the afternoon/evening with them....I haven't seen them since our wedding almost 2 years ago!
We all went to the 42nd Street Oyster Bar for dinner!
It was fun listening to my parents and them chat on the deck after we got back. Ryan and I gave them some "adult" time and it was a riot just hearing them all laugh so loud!
They stayed the night and continued on their trip Friday morning after breakfast.
Ryan and Dad golfed late friday afternoon, so my Mom and I hit the malls! We weren't shopping for anything special, just cruising. It was such a blessing to spend the day with my Mom....I always miss not being able to be with her more often {my sisters can totally relate with me on this one!}.
It's a haul driving 7-8hrs for a 3 day visit, but so worth it! I can't wait until the summer when I can make another trip down for a whole week!
Phinley, would you like that?
Yes, I'm sure you would like more lovin', endless treats, sleeping on the sofas, and walks with both Mom and Dad!!
