meeting baby brookyn

Plus a lot more...

We headed up to Rochester, NY last weekend for one last little getaway before the outage starts at Ryan's work in September and all the other fall things!

It was a fun weekend! The weather was gorgeous and it was packed full of fun things!!

We planned our trip a few months ago specifically to meet Miss Brooklyn - our newest niece born in early June :)
Penn loves babies and she was no exception :) This was either right before or after he kissed her on her lips 🙈 I tried hard to keep him at her tootsies, but he just couldn't resist!
We left our house Friday morning and drove straight to The Strong Children's Museum to meet Ryan's brother {& family} and let the kids run around a bit.

Quick brag: they did amazing in the 4+hr car ride! The boys really are traveling experts at this point. We made 1 stop at an Arby's and the boys went nuts! They were laughing, dancing, and several times Keaton yelled out "I love this place! WOW! I love this place!" They were happy to get out of the van!! HAHA

This museum was very cool! I wish we lived closer so I could take the boys all the time :)

Anyone recognize this door stoop??
There were tons of different areas to play and explore...

We can pretend this is a panel in the control room where Ryan works :)
After the museum, we had dinner and then took the boys to a little splash park. It was actually a little chilly outside, but of course the kids didn't seem to mind!

There was a park right next to it, so they could go back and forth between the 2 areas. It was SO nice! I really wish we had something like that near where we live - it's just too hard for me to take the boys to a pool by myself right now, but a splash pad we can manage!!

This was half of one day! Phew! Tomorrow is our 5k and other fun adventures...
