I finally got around to cleaning out the sliding door tracks in our basement last night and discovered a bit of a problem: ants.
I was on my hands and knees scrubbing out the dirt and grim caked in from the outside elements when I saw something moving from the corner of my eye, then another something, then little ants moving everywhere!!
So, there weren't that many, but enough to gross me out and get the vacuum immediately!
I took care of the ones I could see, then a few hours later as I settled into the sofa to look up some things on Ryan's laptop I saw some ants running around on the screen and on the keys {ahh!!} -- that was the first and final straw.
I called Ryan {who was upstairs scrubbing the deck} immediately and then high tailed it to Target for ammo.
Thirty minutes later I was back with ant/roach spray, an 8 pack of indoor ant traps, and a 6 pack of outdoor ant trap stakes.
I was pretty sure any ant that tried to pass over the Harris threshold would be sorry and die promptly after doing so.
We'll see if my attack works.

I just bought something I saw advertised on tv- called Bug Barrier by Raid. It is supposed to make a barrier to keep bugs out- or kill them when they try to cross- for months. It's good for ants, crickets (!!) spiders and tons of other bugs. I'm going to cover my doorways and windows with it- and anywhere else I think a bug might be.
