Books are meant to be safe, mind enhancing, imagination sparking tools, right?
Wrong.
Let me explain.
My gym has a room, parallel to the cardio machines, for childcare. The ceilings are very high at the gym, so the walls surrounding the care area are about 8ft. high, then it's open up to the ceiling {get it?}.
Occasionally you hear kids over there crying or screaming, but for the most part you wouldn't even know they were there.
Yesterday, there were 2 ladies walking on treadmills {I was on an elliptical behind them} facing the childcare room, when all the sudden a book comes flying over the wall directly at them.
Our initial reaction was, for real?
Yes! A pint size human, probably around the age of 4, managed to chuck a book over an 8ft wall at unsuspecting treadmill walkers.
Now all this time I thought they were making play dough hamburgers and watching Dora the Explorer on tv...little did I know they had bigger plans to wipe out the gym goers!!
Am I sensing a toddler gym take-over? It all starts with books, soon we'll see kitchen play sets making their way over.
You never know. Kids in numbers can do pretty amazing things.
