Ryan and I have been trying to decide whether to take a vacation before his training starts {in April} or just wait and save up for a large one in another year or two.
Once we started researching, the answer came pretty quickly.
Check this site out and tell me you'd rather wait another year to think about vacation. If you're still not convinced, look outside at the ugly brown snow -- that should do it.
After about 15minutes we just couldn't ignore the ear deafening screams calls for our presence any longer and Ryan booked our trip!!
We leave for Riviera Maya on March 9th for 8 days and 7 fabulous nights! Can you believe it was cheaper to stay an extra night? My honey is so amazing at finding coupons :0)
I plan to be in the sun 98% of the time and read at least 1 trashy book. I hope that other resort goers bring their extra strong sunglasses or trashy novels too, so they can shield the blinding reflection of Ryan and I's pasty white selves. At least I don't have any tan lines.
I thought about going to buy a new swim suit {Target has had them out since right after Christmas! At first I thought this was ridiculous, now I think it's genius!}, but I don't know. I told Ryan that I was thinking of buying a bikini, just to get his reaction, and he was all excited.
I laughed loudly and said something along the lines of, "you'll never catch me dead in a bikini! Unless my stomach flattens overnight, then maybe, but probably not." I'm sooooo self concious that even in my 20's when I'm sure my body looks its absolute finest I can't fathom walking around with a 2 piece and having my mid-section hanging around....friends/family/strangers don't need to see that. I think so many women look beautiful in bikinis, just not something I think I can pull off!
I mentioned going on a diet {cutting out sweets} and then, without waiting for a reaction, laughed really hard and scooped myself a big ol' ice cream cone with sprinkles and extra peanut butter.
Oh, so unless I'm injected with a strong dose of bikini self confidence and can withstand sweets, which I tend to live for, the tankini is it. Glad we have that settled :0)
Anyways.....Ryan's been looking up some excursions for us to take while we're there and when he asked me if I wanted to go zip lining I was like "HECK YES!!" Honestly whatever we do, as long as it's outside in the warmth, I'll be game {just as long as it doesn't involve swimming in open shark infested waters}.
I'm sure if that did end up happening, Ryan would have packed enough stuff to build a small raft for us to stay safe. I swear on our honeymoon sometimes he toted more around than me.
See. At ease adventure man.

I'm currently counting down the days and looking into what good trashy reads I want to bring.
Any suggestions?

Yaaay!!! Fun! Have you read the Twilight series? Not trashy, but super easy to read -- written for teenagers and great for the beach. :o)
