That's a lot of snowing.
I would have been super excited Friday night knowing that I was going to wake up Saturday to a winter wonderland and be trapped in the house with my 2 favorite guys, but....
Ryan was working Friday night and scheduled to work Saturday afternoon into the middle of the night!
On Friday, he went in around noon and was planning to leave at midnight. Phinley and I did our very best to stay awake, but goodness, I'm used to going to bed around 9!
I was waiting and waiting for him to call saying he left, but he never did! I knew the roads were getting pretty bad and the longer he waited the worse it would be. Phinley was definitely worried.
See....
It's okay Phinley, Ryan will be okay.
He looked like this most of the night.
I eventually went to bed around 12:30am and ended up waking up every hour checking my phone for any signs that Ryan had started home.
At 4am I heard the front door open and saw Ryan's beautiful face. I was so relieved he made it home!
He told me it took him about an hour to get home {usually it's a 30min. commute} and the only other "cars" on the road were plows. Some of the roads weren't plowed at all. He's so lucky to have made it home unharmed and unstuck somewhere.
The next day {Saturday} he was suppose to go in and continue some testing/project, but they moved it back one day....yay! We had our snow day together! I was so excited to have him home with me!
God really blessed us this past weekend! Ryan was safe and I felt like a little selfish prayer request of mine had been answered :0)

This is why it is so wonderful that my children have grown up and married. I used to stay up all night, or not sleep well at all- worried about my children being on the road. whew, its wonderful to know that you are waiting for him.
Phinley is so cute I can't hardly stand it! Poor guy, he really does look worried. :o)
I'm glad Ryan made it home ok! I stayed up one night like that when Drew was driving home from Chicago in a big storm -- not fun!
