The one thing I hate more than cleaning the shower is taking down and putting away the Christmas decorations.
Today was the day.
Before my parents left, I had my Dad go into the attic and get down all the plastic bins so I could start putting stuff away! I was planning on waiting until Ryan's next day off, but that's not until the 8th (maybe) and I just couldn't wait that long....I was ready to get the house back in tip top shape.
With a new little puppy in the house (sweet Phinley) I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get anything done, but that wasn't the case! He's such a good dog I was able to get the decorations upstairs and downstairs pretty much put away!
I may have let him chew on the lid of a rubbermaid tub when I was taking the balls and lights off the tree, but at least I could keep an eye on him and not make him stay in his crate! I did have to put him in his crate when I carried the tree outside!
That's right....I carried the tree outside! I still can't believe I was able to do it and not hurt myself! It's just so hard for Ryan to do things when he gets home, and frankly, I don't want him to. The last thing he needs is a "Honey To-Do List" when he gets home, so I try to get as much done as I can -- I suprised myself this time,I didn't know I'd be able to lift and carry the tree outside! :0)
I'm well on my way to having this house back in order -- let's hope Phinley doesn't destroy it!! He's sleeping now....taking down decorations must tire him out!
Ryan and I both hope you all had a wonderful New Year! We went to bed early :0)
