birthday gifts are up

Ryan's birthday present is finally up!

I wasn't sure what to buy him this year, so I decided to put together some picture frames of exciting things that have happened in his life this past year! I found these 3D box frames at one of my favorite shops {great price too!} and they worked perfect for holding all the memories and keepsakes.

We've had them sitting in the basement for the last month and last Sunday, Ryan finally got a chance to hang them up!

Actually, I made 3 boxes for Ryan and 1 box for myself....even he said after he opened the 3rd one that I needed one! Suprise -- I had it stashed away :0)

I put together one that captured his 1/2 Marathon race and one that captured my Marathon! We decided to put them next to the tv, so when we were lounging and eating candy we could look at them and be proud of how good of shape we were in at one point.

Nice and straight -- perfect Ryan!

Ryan's on the left, mine on the right!

Close up of Ryan's 1/2 Marathon box...I'm still so proud of him!

I had to make one of Ryan finishing the basement! That piece of hammer is the one he used to nail each and every piece of the framing together. It broke on the very last framing nail -- pretty amazing! I tried to put the head in, but it would't fit. We still have it around here somewhere!

This last box is from when Ryan went to the World Series Game 3 {this was actually last year}.

These 3D boxes are so cool because we have random little keepsake things from these big events that just end up getting lost and/or cluttering up the house. Now, they can be displayed with pictures!
In other news, Phinley has been very naughty today and unless he starts doing some of this....
or this.....

I might let him run free outside for a bit! haha
Hope no one is freezing out there!
God loves and cares about you! Have a great week!
