3 days of pure joy

Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday of this week have been pure joy...Ryan's been home with me :0)


Over the last month, he's had 3 days off. That's not much. It's roughly a day every 2 weeks. I know that there are couples out there who do this all the time, or have husbands who travel all the time and they see them even less -- wow, I don't know how you do it!

I forgot how much fun I have with him! Serioulsy, it feels like we haven't spent 2 days together for so long!! I decided that if I did get called to sub I wasn't going to go in....Ryan and I were just going to do whatever we wanted :0)!!


Sunday afternoon wasn't too exciting. Ryan wanted to watch football and play the Wii, so he and Phinley did that, while I cleaned the whole house. It took about an hour and a half, but was worth it! It was so good to see Ryan sit back, relax, and do nothing.


Monday was catch-up on stuff around the house day! We finally put the Christmas decorations away. I wanted to do it myself, but I needed Ryan's strong muscles to get those boxes up in the attic! He also cut up the wood pallets in the garage -- now I can park without worrying about hitting them. Score! Phinley was so excited to have Ryan home because he could take walks with us, and Phinley loves to show off his family.

Tuesday we hung out with Stutz and Erin (friends from college and small group). It was great! We went to CD Pizza for lunch, then used some of our free Tony's bowling coupons...who doesn't love a free game of bowling?!? All afternoon was played the Wii! It was so good to just relax and spend time with friends :0)

Those 3 days were just what Ryan and I needed to reconnect. Even though we see eachother for a bit everyday, I feel like we've been so distant and busy (or he's been busy)....I've just been trying to keep things under control here!
