Polite, Thoughtful People

I'm thankful for all those polite, thoughtful people out there.

I'm thankful for the guy who gave me a coupon code to use at the Redbox just before I swiped my credit card to pay! He didn't need to stop and do that. He made my day, by simply giving me a code to try. I almost hugged him, but since that would have been weird and slightly inappropriate, I just smiled as big as I could and said "thanks!!!!"

I'm thankful for the woman behind me in a secret store I did Christmas shopping in this morning. We were waiting in line for a while when the next line opened up, I was going to let her be the first, since I was almost past the divide and securely in my line, when she insisted that I go first!

I'm thankful for the young girl in Chick-Fil-A who asked if I needed a refill, THEN told me my outfit looked really good! Score! It's always nice to get a compliment from a stranger :0)

I'm thankful for the older woman in the Giant parking lot. She and I bumped bumpers backing out of our car spots and when I told her I'd like her insurance information because I saw a little dent in my bumper (and knew Ryan would want it -- it's always good just in case!) she gasped and became completely empathetic. [note: the dent was small, like Ryan will be able to fix it small]. I was just so thankful she didn't seem annoyed or peeved off at me!

I'm thankful for the man who gave my car a jump in the gas station parking lot when it ran out of juice.

I'm thankful for the woman who saw me try on a dress, then insist she buy it for me because it made me look so elegant. Okay, I made this one up, but wouldn't that be great?!?

I'm thankful for all of those people who I don't know and who don't know me, yet have gone out of their way to make me feel like there is some good in this world.
