mom's first 5k

My mom is amazing, let's just start with that.

This past Saturday she completed her first 5K {that's 3.1 miles folks!}!!

Several months ago, I asked her if she'd be up for training and then walking with me in a 5k -- she was up for the challenge and certainly delivered! Her hard work paid off big time and she not only finished, but just within 1hr!

We decided to do the Susan G. Komen for Cure race in Raleigh and I think it was the perfect choice! Lots of inspiration and pink!! :0D

Of course, we had our personal paparazzi {who also wore his pink!} Ha! Thanks Dad!

A little before the 1/2 way mark we passed this awesome bra tree! Just a little reminder to get our girls checked!!

2 miles....1.1 more to go!

And we did it! SHE did it! I was so proud of her!

I knew Mom would be able to complete the 3.1 miles! 

Way to go! I'm so proud! Can't wait for the next one....wink wink!
