pimp my ride

This weekend I said goodbye to the ECTC {Erin Cowell's Toyota Corolla} and said HELLO to my new Toyota Highlander {well, new is relative here, it's a 2008 but new to me}!!

I'll admit it was a little sad! For as excited as I was to be getting a new car, the corolla has been my little tank for the last 6 years. We've been through so many car trips together! I really loved that little car. I didn't love that the hood was starting to rust off, but I did like how it was the only one of it's color kind.

How many light purple cars do you see zipping around?

Okay, FINE! There was 1 other that just happened to live down the street in our old development, but it didn't have the same kind of glow :0)

Before I introduce the new set of wheels, lets take one more look at the '97 corolla completing her last great feat -- transporting the laundry lift during the big move.

Thanks for the never pooping out on me little car! May you be auctioned to the highest bidder!!

Ryan and I searched high and low for the perfect, used car. It was no easy task!

I was so excited when I found this one with low mileage and a few extras, like a sunroof and electric controlled front seat. I've been adjusting non stop!

I also really like how the middle row can seat 3....

Or have 2 captain chairs with an extra storage area in the middle. It's not pictured here, but the middle seat pops out and another piece pops in...clever :0)

Although, we most likely won't use the 3rd row a lot, we wanted a car that had one. We thought it would be nice to have the option of seating 7 -- just in case!

I feel like everything in this car moves!

With the 3rd row folded down flat there is a ton of trunk space! I also really like this privacy shade.

It's an early birthday present :0)

I still can't believe I got a new car! Thanks Ryan! It's just what I wanted!!
