A sunny warm day in Washington, DC + a dear friend and her adorable son = perfect day out!!
First up, metro ride to the zoo! Who's excited?
Yup, that's a Giant Anteater with a baby riding on it's back!! We were shocked to see this -- who knew they did this?!?
Elias really really really wanted to play with the Prairie Dogs...they looked like so.much.fun. "Common Mom....let me play!!"
I thought these wicker{?} elephants were so cool!
And I thought these cuddling elephants were so cute! 
Jess was the professional navigator throughout the trip. If it was up to me we'd still be wondering around in the zoo. 
Cherry Blossoms! Still out and still beautiful! Praise God we didn't miss them!
And of course, a little metro entertaining for the ride back. I swear a moment before I took this picture every single one of those people were smiling right.at.Elias! Everyone loved him! It's not everyday all these suits get to see a cute baby!

Eli is too cute!! You guys picked perfectly and had the best day in DC. We went on Saturday and it was gray and cold - brrrr...
