arrr matey

After the Great Pumpkin Chase on Saturday morning, we headed over to the Clay's to carve and paint pumpkins with our life group.

Stutz and Warwick also chased pumpkins that morning, so we had a little photo opt with all the guys in their awesome long sleeve race shirts!

Work it!
We didn't want Brent and Evan to feel left out for not having a shirt, so we included them too :0)
Lets all look at Erin next time, okay guys!?! haha :0)

{Evan, Ryan, Stutz, Warwick, Brent}
This whole group is super social, including the babes! Charlotte and Elias chatted up a storm!

Before the pumpkins, however, we stuffed goodie bags {with info about the church's children's program} to hand out to trick-or-treaters on Thursday night. They took no time at all to pack, so everyone got started on carving or painting their pumpkins pretty much right away.

Ryan, Evan, and Brent were the only ones who carved.

Scooping out the pumpkin guts is always the worst part!

Brent tried to get Lucas to stick his head in the pumpkin.

And even though Brent demonstrated how fun and harmless it was....

Lucas wasn't sure....

Then decided his Dad was crazy and there was no way he was going to put his head in there!

With all the shenanigans going on around the kitchen {heads in pumpkins} Ryan stayed focused.

Some chose to paint a simple, funny face on their pumpkin.

Ryan chose the hardest pattern/picture in the carving book.

Some sweet girls chose to use their imagination and create something unique and colorful

Ryan chose to carve a pirate ship with a skull face etched in the largest sail.

It took him the longest {by about an hour}, but he did awesome.

Like always....perfect work Ryan!

Arr...matey! Watch out kiddos... Captain Ryan lives here!

With first mate -- Phin Dog.

*No tails were burned during photographing*

So funny - I love your commentary! Way to go Ryan!

By the way, it's hilarious that Phin is terrified of water, but thinks fire is no big deal.
