A goal of mine over the past few months has been to not eat sweets after every meal (lunch and dinner).
I knew after dinner would be extra tough, so I thought I should try to cut some out after lunch....did I really need 3 pieces of candy after a big lunch? Umm...no.
I was doing really really well. Even when I didn't sub and was home to graze on whatever was within an arms reach, I could usually resist those sweets and then really appreciate and enjoy it after dinner! Well, let me tell you something -- Christmas came along and brought with it all these yummy cookies!
I couldn't be around company and just not have a cookie or two, they did work exceptionally hard to make them for my enjoyment -- right? haha
Now I'm paying for it. I was really getting used to this 1 sweet a day thing and now, sheesh, I can barely make it to 11am without thinking about my lunchtime treat. I've been trying to eat more at lunch, so I'm full and don't really want anything else, but that's not working! I love love love anything with sugar so even when I'm awfully full I can let an m&m (or 10) just melt on my tongue.
I'm not one for resolutions, but I would like to start skipping that mid-day sugar break again. This week I have not been off to a good start...unless 1/2pack of tasty cakes and m&ms don't count. Those being consumed every day so far, after lunch.
Soooo.....unless I send anything with sugar to work with Ryan I'm going to have to start slapping that hand away and taking Phinley for more walks. When it's under 35 degrees outside and you're walking you burn more calories...right? Because you're body is working harder to produce heat?
Oh, good. Thought so.
