Rainy Sunday = Lots of Cookies

Sunday was one of the yuckiest days outside that I've seen in a long time.

It started with icy rain, which made the roads very dangerous, then turned to just rain.

By the time I was ready to head out the door to church most of the ice had melted and it was just freezing cold and wet. Gross.

After church I had lunch with 3 friends (fabulous!) and then headed to Giant to load up on cookie making supplies...what else do you do when you're home alone on a cold, wintry, Sunday afternoon??

BAKE!

See...ewwww. It even looks cold!


I like a very clean, organized work space when I cook or bake. I wipe the counters off constantly...it's so annoying, but I can't help it! All the messy items were kept to this part of our counter -- an easy brush into the sink!

I made these special for Ryan -- I know he'll eat them if he loves them! This was my first attempt!

So good! I didn't even eat one Reese's PB cup when I made these!

I also made some Spritz (with my new spritzer) and Chocolate & PB chip cookies! I managed to eat a lot of that dough...it's just so good! I had a wee tummy ache afterwards, but it was worth it :0)

I love to bake, but hate the mess. I'm not sure if I'll become one of those intense, bake 10 different kinds of cookies each year or not. Maybe once I have a family around who will eat them!!
