turning 30

We have had SO much going on the last few weeks...I'm going to start with the most recent events first and go backwards with some posts...

On Saturday I turned 30! 

What in the world?!? I can't possibly be 30!!

I could care less about getting older, but 30 does sound kinda old to me 0:-) Most of the time I still feel like a 12 year old....I don't think a good burp will ever get less funny. haha

My birthday was nothing short of AMAZING! 

One good morning smile from Keaton was all I needed to make this birthday the best.one.ever. He brings me so much joy - I couldn't ask me for anything more.  

Being a Mommy just makes the special days that much more special and my birthday was no exception! Honestly, I think about K-man so much I almost forgot about it!

Ryan, Keaton, and I spent pretty much the entire day with family! First at a post-wedding breakfast with his family and then at my family reunion. The reunion was at a local state park and it was just gorgeous outside! It was a busy day, but nice to see everyone!

By the end of the day we were just exhausted, but Ryan managed to surprise me with a porch swing!! I have wanted one for a long time - nothing big or fancy, just simple and swingy ;-) All I asked was that it not have cushions. I didn't want to have to remember to bring them in from the rain.

It's perfect.

He also managed to get it fully assembled when he was super sick with body aches, a super congested head, and sore throat. That's love.

AND THEN! On Sunday, my best friend, Jess planned a super special surprise afternoon for me :)

Keaton stayed home with Daddy while Jess, my Mom, and I went out for lunch and shopping!! Jess had the whole afternoon planned....she even talked with Ryan ahead of time and let me know that he said it was okay for me to "buy whatever I wanted" so I did!

Came home with this and am so excited for smooth, healthy skin!

Jess also surprised me with the most amazing list of 30 things she loves about me {will keep and cherish forever...already read through it a bunch of times} :) and a beautiful necklace and pair of earrings from one of my favorite stores! 

And if all that wasn't enough...she had cupcakes! I might have tried one of each. SO good!

The older I get, the more I'm realizing how unimportant stuff is and how important time with family and friends is - year 30 is starting off pretty fantastic!
